I use Toad regularly but not to export to flat files on a regular basis.
However it did get it done just now by this method, from the menu bar at
the top of Toad:
FIRST...
Database
Export
Table Data to Dat File
(Do the things you need to do to do the thing)
THEN....
Database
Export
Table As Flat File
(You will need to create the specs for the .dat file you created
above by using the 'Generate Columns' button and then 'Execute')
There are little 'things' that you will need to figure out as you go along
but I never did it before and it only took about 10 minutes to get it
going. It worked for me I an sure it will work for you.
