Beware:
While installing service packs for Win2K in November, our computer was
hacked by a trojan horse, which my students who were doing the job think
came from the microsoft website. The fact that the hacker downloaded a
pirated DVD of Harry Potter and some new XBox stuff right when those things
were being publicly released added to his suspicions. We don't really know
where the trojan horse came from, but be careful! We had to reformat the
hard drive and start all over again.
Of course, none of this would have happened if we'd installed and activated
Norton Antivirus first thing.
