Hi all,
I'd like to make a correction on the Dell Projector unvailing. For
years Dell has had a host of third party peripherals available
through their Software and Addons section of the online catalog
(accessible through our Premier Access program, and orderable at
TSW), with overall warranties carried through the manufacturers.
Dell did not commence manufacturing and marketing it's own projectors
until around the middle of this year, 2002. We have sold several on
campus to very satisfied customers. Dell's customer service on Dell
branded products is normally quite excellent.
Dell and Epson projectors can be acquired through TSW. We
continuously watch for your testimonials on successful products, and
will continue to research and offer based on options available to the
higher ed channel.
John, based on your needs, I would recommend you take a look at the
specifications for :
* Dell 3100MP Projector
current low price is $2199. Standard 2YR Ltd Warranty -
Advance Exchange
can be upgraded to 3-yrs Advance Exchange for an additional $150.
Weight 3.5 lbs. and just 2.9" thin.
* Epson offers two possibilities you might also want to consider :
Epson PowerLite 720c special order at $2,690, AND
Epson Powerlite 730c - special order through TSW at $2,950
2-yr warranty.
All models listed above available special order -- allow
approximately 1 week for delivery. Bulb warranties are standard
90-days. TSW can order replacement bulbs for you.
Hope this helps.
April
