We purchased a Luxeon X2 + from Alternative View [~$2500] back in
July. I found them to be informed, helpful. This model accommodates
the higher resolution laptops and is very powerful (I recall 1500
lumens, but don't quote me). Also do special university pricing.
They'll ask questions about location/lighting, screen distance,
portability to help you decide.
