Yes Myriam, that's my experience too.
However, in this case it didn't solve the problem
we even installed into a different drive (she has a D: and C: drive) ... but we
copied wholesale the rest of the files into the new directory and may have
brought the problem with us.
The other solution recommended by several Micronetters, was to look for a mailbox
window that may have been squeezed to a mere vertical line (I've seen this before
too). Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the culprit.
So now we're going to copy the whole eudora directory into a temp folder,
uninstall eudora, clean the registry of any eudora entries, delete any Qualcom
folders, reboot, reinstall Eudora, recreate the user and see if all works at that
point. If it does, then we'll bring back the mailboxes and verify it still shows
mailboxes.
Then bring back the filters and verify
Then bring back the address book and verify
etc etc until we find where it breaks, or find that it doesn't.
She did have 2049 pieces of mail in her trash.
We deleted, closed eudora, restarted eudora and still don't get mailboxes.
So we're going to try the solution outlined above.
Will let micronet know the results.
