Jerry,
Is there any way to inform users of the slight differences between
POP and IMAP in your email about the conversion like how to set up
their trashes? I had a user here who didn't have any problem doing
the conversion, but I had to walk him through going to the SETTINGS
file and deselect the USE A TRASH MAILBOX ON THE IMAP SERVER in the
PERSONALITY EXTRAS so that he could select his trash mailbox and
delete his messages, plus I showed him that pressing the option key
down when selecting the SPECIAL menu would give him the REMOVE
DELETED MESSAGES option which would remove his messages from the
INBOX.
As a support person, I didn't mind helping, and I knew what to do
because I use IMAP, but I can foresee others around campus, some
without support, that might freak out because they can't do these
things and don't know how to find out to do them.
It would be great to calm fears about the change since it's not
completely seamless and there are slight differences in doing some
things.
