Hello,
Someone suggested I e-mail this list to inquire about what backup
solutions people on campus use. We have about 10 PC's and Macs (and a
couple of linux boxes) for which we need to update our backup system.
First, what do people on campus generally use? Are there sight licenses
to any good backup software? We're willing, if necessary, to put some
money into getting something that is easy and will work for Mac OS 9/X,
Windows (and possibly linux which could also be used for the server).
We need 2 kinds of backup -- system backup and restore which can be run
manually to create a bootable CD image of a system to allow it to be
brought up easily on a disk crash, etc, as well as full and incremental
user data backup which should happen automatically at night.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
