Dear Colleagues,
Berkeley is making plans to host the 2002 University of California
Computing Services Conference (UCCSC) on July 28-30, 2002. We know that
your plans to attend this conference may be restricted due to the recent
announcements of pending budget cuts. The budget uncertainty also makes it
difficult for planning the conference, but we'd like to get a rough
headcount of those who plan to attend knowing the following information:
The confirmed dates are July 28-30, 2002. The registration cost will not
exceed $150 which will cover food expenses from Sunday evening through
Tuesday breakfast, conference rooms, audio/visual set up, and conference
materials. We have a block of rooms reserved at the Durant Hotel at
$118/single, $138/double per night. Limited dorm rooms will be available
for approximately $100 per night. We are not planning a gala
event. Additional costs will be transportation for those living outside of
the area.
Let us know your intentions by replying through

by December 21, 2001. Please distribute this email to interested
colleagues. Questions or comments can be sent to
uccsc2002@uclink.berkeley.edu. We will have our website up in
mid-January. Thanks!
Laura Kim
