If you really do need zmodem, take a look at lrzsz:
http://www.ohse.de/uwe/software/lrzsz.html
it's a GPL version of rz/sz.
Greg's right, zmodem is old technology (Omen's website still seems intent
on believing that Kermit is the Enemy!!) and it's insecure. But there
seems to be a wrapper you can use for ssh--check out zssh:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/zssh/
I have no idea how well this works or whether it's worth using over
scp/sftp.
