Ode to an Awesome Tech!!!

To all,

I just needed to email this out to everyone. In case you might not
have heard, Mike Carver (Hardware Support Apple Tech extraordinaire)
will be leaving us soon for the more northern pacific northwest. I
believe that around the second week of August will be his final
farewell. I just want to say that, personally, Mike has been a great
friend and ally in the battle to keep our Apple gear working in tip top
shape. His work ethic and expertise has always been way above the mark
and he has always been there for us when we needed him most. I have
enjoyed working with him and because he has always been so willing to
share information about repairs, parts, systems, etc., I have learned a
great deal from him. In short, he is and has always been a very valuable
and key asset to the Hardware Support group. I will miss ya, Mike!!

It might be interesting to note that Mike has also been the ONLY
Apple tech helping us out lately, as he works as a one man tech dept. It
gets me to wonder about what service will be like after he leaves. He
will be a hard act to follow and I know that departments out there like
mine (we are all Apple/Mac here at Journalism) are a little concerned
about all the "what if's" relating to hardware service, warranty work,
timely repairs, etc. I would like to know what you all think?

Anyway, please stop by TSW and say goodbye to Mike. We all wish you
well and good luck to you in your future endeavors!!!

Cheers, Mike!!

Best,

Roy
