New CalMail announcement

As part of our continuing effort to improve the CalMail system, we are
considering replacing the SquirrelMail webmail interface we currently
offer our users with RoundCube <http://roundcube.net/>. RoundCube has a
modern, clean interface with improved accessibility features over the
current SquirrelMail client. Our initial tests have been positive and
we feel it is ready for beta testing by all CalMail users.

Starting June 4th, we will feature RoundCube as a link on the CalMail
Home page for users to test and give feedback. We will continue the
testing until the Fall, at which time the decision will be made on
whether to replace SquirrelMail with RoundCube as the webmail client for
CalMail.

We have enhanced the RoundCube beta to include an additional interface
for migrating current addressbooks from SquirrelMail to RoundCube. To
test this enhancement, login to RoundCube, click on the Addressbook icon
and then click import. This will not affect your SquirrelMail
addressbook since it will only make a copy for RoundCube. As this is an
initial test of the client, no other settings will be migrated from
SquirrelMail. You will still be able to use SquirrelMail to access your
CalMail account during the RoundCube beta.
