Pedro,
We have been using a Xerox WorkCentre Pro 45 for the past four years
for scanning to a file repositories on our computers via FTP and
scanning to email as well as sending large print jobs.
Our current contract is ending. I've just gone through a comparison
of Canon and Xerox models. I've decided on a Canon IR5075. The
primary difference I found was a much better automatic document
feeding scanner on the Canon that does duplex scanning with only one
pass of the sheet.
We've used the current Xerox machine to print jobs with the first
(cover) page drawing from a different drawer to use a colored sheet.
The problem we ran into with this is that it would print only on one
side of the first sheet when we wanted all sheets to be double side
printed. This should not be the case with the newer machines, but I
have not yet confirmed that.
Both Canon and Xerox come with web based management and usage
reporting for both copying and printing if you should wish to set it
up that way.
The one issue you may have with your large jobs is the large number
of sheets you are stapling. There is a limit of 50 sheets for
stapling on the standard or professional finishers. There may be an
upgraded finisher that can do more, but you may need to use a
separate heavy dudty stapler to do more than 50 sheets at a time.
