Copier as Printer (maybe not a Ricoh...)

We are considering purchasing/leasing a new copier. A sales pitch has
been network capabilities. The ability to send a big job (100+ copies,
two-sided, stapled, different color first page) directly from a
workstation is attractive. We won't be replacing our printers.
Notwithstanding the current Ricoh problems, does any one out there use
this capability and would you share your department's experience with
such technology. I believe the campus has agreements with Ricoh, Canon
and Xerox? What products are folks using?
Thanks
-Pete
