Thanks, Vic. To save time for anyone who might want to check this out:
- This is a new, commercial email client ($19.95 per copy
pre-registration price), apparently written in RealBASIC,
that attempts to somewhat closely mimic the look and feel of
Eudora. For instance, it includes highly similar menu options.
- It is in early beta, and *not suitable (according to multiple
exhortations in the forums) for production use*.
For example, IMAP support is not included in the current (0.8.2)
build; it has been disabled for unspecified 'improvements.'
Also, there are a fair number of serious bug reports in the forums.
A Mac OS X beta is available now, with a Windows beta said
to be "coming soon."
- Odysseus is *not* the project to build a new Eudora-like client
on top of Mozilla frameworks and Thunderbird. That project
happens to be named after Odysseus's wife and resides here:
