The Mac experience? Which is the whole reason I use a Mac in the
first place. If we are all going to use Java-based apps like Eclipse,
et. al., then there really is no need to use a Mac at all. The one
thing that gives the Mac its competitive advantage over everything
else is Cocoa, and the apps, like TextMate, that people create with it.

I really do not like Eclipse (except for the LDAP Studio plugin), and
find that I am far, far more productive (in many ways) with TextMate.

To me, the end result is what should be open -- the text file that is
being created/edited -- and not necessarily the means for creating/
editing the file.
