Jack,
I don't know if you're having the same problem I
was, but I had a similar problem using Acrobat
Professional 8 only I would get a "The Document
Cannot be Printed" error and never get any kind of
sign it was even trying to print. This wasn't
from Safari, just trying to print directly from a
PDF itself. I could print to other printers
except to mine and I could print from my Acrobat
Reader v.6 to my printer. My printer seemed to be
the key and it's an old Laserwriter 16/600 PS. I
could print from both Acrobat versions to HPs in
other offices without a problem. So I just assumed
it was something about Acrobat Pro. v.8 and my
printer. I suspect it might be a postscript
issue, but I'm sure. I didn't have a cure, just a
workaround (I use Acrobat Reader 6 to print PDFs
to my printer), but if you are having trouble from
one computer to a specific printer, I'd suspect
maybe a postscript issue, but that's just my theory.
