Greeetings everyone (and as usual, apologies for the cross-postings):

BPAWG is happy to announce that the Center for Workforce Development and
IST, inspired by the community of interest that BPAWG has generated over the
past two years, is underwriting a pilot project to establish a training
program in business process analysis. The initial training includes 4-5
teams from various campus entities engaged in the real work of mapping
processes and preparing for process change and improvement.

AUGUST BPAWG MEETING:
August 30, 2007
***New Time: 3:00 PM - 4:30
Rm 290 Hearst Mining Building

The August 30 BPAWG meeting features Shelley Sweet, of I-4 Consulting,

team for success:

The Successful Process Analysis Team: How to Select Them, Key Roles, and How
They Work Together
"The process improvement team is critical to the success of a process
mapping, analysis and redesign effort. You will learn how to involve the
right team in design and analysis, bring forth the best ideas, and ensure
implementation in order to create a dramatic impact in the organization.
This session will help you determine how to:

* select members and a team leader

* focus on the right process

* engage a sponsor for maximum benefit

* clarify roles and responsibilities

* utilize a facilitator

* establish the guidelines for a high performing team

* create an effective work plan

* anticipate and deal with common challenges

* communicate with others in the organization

Thanks to all of you for helping to make this possible through your
continuing interest and involvement!

Sincerely,

James Dudek and E. Bond Francisco
