during the next few weeks, each with a specific focus: on cluster
computing, Apple's server products, and SAN/video server products.

Research Computing Cluster
Some amazing phylogenetic research is happening in Integrative 
Biology.  Learn about what Professor Huelsenbeck and team are doing 
and how they are using Apple cluster technology for their research 
Cluster computing is for all researchers that are looking to get 
their data analyzed as quickly as possible, in an easy and affordable 
way.

Wednesday, March 7, 1:00-4:00 
Townsend Center, Geballe Room 
Xserve, Xserve RAID and Mac OS X Server 
Do everything from HD video editing to Particle Astrophysics analysis 
on Apple's professional line of desktop workstations and 
rack-mountable servers and storage systems. Come and learn about and 
get your hands on Apple's newest and fastest ever Xserve 
products. We'll also be highlighting Leopard Server (see detail 
below.)

The Graduate School of Journalism is leading the way utilizing a SAN 
for video production and editing.  The JSchool has also implemented a 
full client/server-based Mac OS X system  utilizing network home 
directories, remote management and updating and central storage using 
Mac OS X Server and Apple hardware.  Come and learn about what 
they've deployed and how it all works.
