Color synch issue?

Hello Magnet folks,

I have an image that I've manipulated in Photoshop CS2, added some text to
it (in Photoshop CS2), saved it as a .png file. and then imported it into a
word document. On the screen, the image appears very golden and yellowish,
which is perfect. When I print it out, it shows up very magenta and pink. I
did my best to tweak with the color settings, etc. from Word's print dialog
boxes, but nothing seems to corret the color.

I'm thinking MAYBE i needed to working in a different color space in
Photoshop. I think I was using RGB, but I can't remember at the moment. How
can I guarantee that the color I see in the photoshop image, and in the word
document, is going to print at least close to that same color. It's an Epson
300 printer, printing in Epson Standard mode.

Never had to deal with this issue before, and I'm kinda lost as to how to
proceed. Any clues greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bond
