>Hi all:

Just wanted to say thanks to everybody who sent me suggestions on how
to try to fix this problem. Turns out I used a PC to help solve it.

Since I couldn't rename it nor edit it I almost gave up. Then I came
up with the idea of using a PC version of Eudora (6.2.3.4) and
opening it there. Then I broke up the file into smaller mailboxes
and saved them. I transferred the files back into a mac and then
used BBEdit 8.5 to convert the files back to mac-Eudora readable
mailboxes and they worked fine.

I tried BBEdit on the original huge file and did make it into a
mailbox, but Eudora crashed again, so I deleted it.

Guess I have to thank Bill Gates for his little part in this.
