iphoto problem

Anyone,

I've just recovered from a computer crash (800MHz PowerPC G4 running
10.4.7) and Iphoto no longer recognizes the format of my Kodak
DX4530 camera. After I attach the camera and turn it on, Iphoto
opens, the lazy wheel spins but the camera icon never shows up. Any
clever ideas as how to correct this and what may have gone wrong?
