C@B 2007 for Macintosh - beta now available for testing!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The first public beta of the Connecting@Berkeley 2007 CD for the
Macintosh - the easiest way to set up an unmanaged or lightly
managed Macintosh to meet the campus's minimum security standards and
connect it to the Internet via the campus's wired, wireless, and dial-
up networks - is now available for testing at:
http://software-test.berkeley.edu/mac/cab/2007/index.html
Although this is the first pubic beta, we believe we are very close
to being ready to send it to the manufacturer. (A list of known
issues is on the download site.) We invite you to begin testing
immediately; there will be a relatively short beta cycle again this
year. The earlier you can provide comments, the higher the
likelihood will be that the CD will do what you and your users need
it to do. Please send your feedback and questions to:
cab-service@lists.berkeley.edu
Another incentive: a prize drawing for testers who provide feedback
will be offered again this year.
A list of software included on the current beta is at:
Thanks for your help,
Tony Roybal, for the
Connecting@Berkeley Team
