Knowledge Management Introduction
In this Knowledge Era, innovation is the key to competitive advantage.
Organizations gain this through the effectiveness of people, processes and
technology in the creation, acquisition and dissemination of knowledge. The
Organization's Knowledge is the most valuable asset and it is often the only
relevant asset. This emerging new society has been termed the "Knowledge
Society" by Peter Drucker. Innovation is dependent on providing the right
knowledge to the right person at the right time in the right context.

Knowledge thrives in a trusting environment where people think and share
freely and possess the right tools to perform. This brief introduction will
present the rewards, business processes and technology associated with
Knowledge Management in order to effectively create, capture and manage the
organization's physical and intellectual assets.
