Has anyone else been able to get the UC Backup scheduler application
to run on the new Intel based Macs with Rosetta emulation? UC Backup
said to try the latest version of the app. (ver. 5.3.3), but in the
read me it says under system requirements that it needs a PowerPC
based Mac. And in the small print it says there is no support for
Intel Macs or Rosetta.
I find that manual backups will work, but the dsmcad process once
loaded in the startup items will be terminated as soon as the dsmc
process is called. I see this happening with Activity Monitor. Once
dsmcad quits automatic backups will not happen at the scheduled time.
I have asked the UC Backup staff for help, but they basically don't
support Macs since they say they don't have one in their office.
