I can't seem to get afp file shares on my 10.4 server to pay
attention to to ACEs I create. Newly-created files appear to get the
right ACEs assigned to them when I 'ls -e' them (Full Control for the
group), but other group members don't seem to enjoy the full control
supposedly afforded to them by the ACE. (Files are created with +r
and go-wx for their standard perms.)
Also, options such as "Propagate Permissions" and "Inherit
permissions from parent" are completely greyed out in Workgroup
Manager for my shares.
Do others find that these all "just work" for them? Or is there some
overall setting that I'm missing?
Up a creek,
-Greg
