hello experts,
i would like to have connection to an ipv6 enabled network
on my mac osx 10.3.9 through a tunnel.
i found several free tunnel brokers for a 4to6 tunnel.
e.g.
http://www.freenet6.net/ http://www.sixxs.net/
They have all test applications , but they are not made for osx.
there is only one mac with osx on this matrix ;-)
http://mars.innerghost.net.ipv4.sixxs.org/matrix/
i like to be the first mac from europe;)
Someone could might give me a hint how i got this
working on osx? i have developer tools installed.

dbeacon, a distributed multicast beacon written in C++, is a new project
that was started by m6bone people with the main purpose to create a
java beacon replacement, removing the java dependency and integrating a
new extendable protocol that could introduce new features (such as
hop-count counting between beacons, SSM testing, etc) without breaking
existing infrastructure.
Initialy dbeacon supported IPv6 only (since it was
designed by m6bone people) but now supports both IPv4 and IPv6 AFIs.
This is a starting project, only 3 weeks old, but with very active
development base. We would like you to join our tests, propose new
features, comment and report problems, etc. All feedback is appreciated
as this a growing project.
Project homepage: http://artemis.av.it.pt/~hsantos/dbeacon/
Source code and Debian packages available.
Some of dbeacon's features include:
- decentralized design;
- collects new statistics such as hop distances;
- may us RRD to keep past results for analysis debugging;
* This data may then be used by the matrix page to either render
graphs or to display past matrixes;
- extensible protocol allows extensions without breaking existing
sources;
- active development;
- written in C++, has no external dependencies, just compile and run.
Check our initial FAQ at:
http://artemis.av.it.pt/~hsantos/dbeacon/FAQ.html
Like always, you may join us at the irc network `irc.freenode.net` in
channel #m6bone. Feel free to join in and make questions.
In our design there is no centralized server and each beacon site is
recommended to run its own matrix.
For instance, you can check my matrix at:
http://mars.innerghost.net/matrix/ [ipv6 only]
Or Mickael Hoerdt's one at
http://canet.u-strasbg.fr/matrix/v6/
Also, the development of MRD6, a Linux IPv6 Multicast Router, continues
and will soon reach version 0.7. Testing is appreciated, as is any kind
of feedback. You may get MRD6 at http://artemis.av.it.pt/~mrd6/ .
any fingertyp to fire up the beacon would be greatly;)
appreciatet
marc
