From: Aron Roberts <aron_at_socrates.berkeley.edu>
Date: Wed Mar 02 2005 - 10:12:41 PST

Vin Capone, Apple Computer's Digital Media Manager, will be
presenting Apple's film and video production software at a special
event:

Date: *Next Tuesday*, March 8, 2005
       Time: 2:30 pm - 5:30 pm
   Location: 310 Soda Hall

Mr. Capone will demo and provide an overview of Apple's new
Production Suite <http://www.apple.com/productionsuite/>. This
product for the first time brings together several of Apple's
professional software products for real-time production of film and
video into an integrated suite. Topics covered will include Final
Cut Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro and collaborative workflows:

2:30 - 3:15 - Final Cut Pro HD. Now you can capture and edit in DV,
SD and high definition (HD) formats in real-time on your Mac
3:15 - 4:00 - Motion. Ground breaking real-time previews, behavior
animations and a streamlined interface will change how you do motion
graphics.
4:00 - 4:45 - DVD Studio Pro. Open your Final Cut Pro HD and Motion
files natively in DVD Studio Pro, add menus, transitions and more
then burn your DVD title.
4:45 - 5:30 - Collaborative Video Workflows using Xsan, Xserve and
Xserve RAID. Xsan enables workflow contributors to have concurrent
access to centralized source media files, and can handle demanding
video capture needs.

P.S. As a courtesy if you plan to attend, please RSVP by end of day
Friday, March 4 to Jane Pimentel, jane1@apple.com. That will both
help her gauge interest and, most importantly, bring appropriate
quantities of refreshments!
