Early on, we had a lot of trouble with Airport Extreme cards and not
just with AirBears but with the EECS wireless infrastructure which runs
on a different platform than most of AirBears. Getting the latest
drivers for those cards may help you. Very early versions of the driver
would not work for us. We finally had to really apply pressure to our
infrastructure vendor to get our equipment to work well with those
cards. Every vendor has their own take on how to interpret standards and
Apple in no different when it comes to 802.11.
