Mouse preference pane
Hello--

This is a problem that is merely annoying, but I wonder if other have dealt with it.

I'm on Mac OS 10.3.5, and I use a Kensington "Orbit optical" trackball, which uses MouseWorks 2.51 (also called 2.5.1 at Kensington website).  This is the latest version, and I believe all my other software in general is up-to-date.

Every time I boot up, I get the message:
"The preference pane you are installing is already installed. Do you want to replace the existing preference pane?"

I usually press "cancel" and go about my business, but if I press "OK," I get the Mouse preference pane, which suggests that there is indeed some conflict in the mouse/trackball inputs.

(I also have an elderly Wacom "PenPartner" tablet which doesn't have an OS X software version, but still works.)

Should I and/or can I alter or disable the Mouse preference panel to avoid getting this message?

Thanks for advice --
