QT Pro - compatible export format for Windows playback?

We have some video clips that we've been chopping up a bit in QuickTime
Player v. 6.5.1 (registered, so you can select/copy/paste, etc.)

Can folks recommend an export format that tends to be very compatible
across most typical Mac & Windows installations, and that will
generally play back nicely from within PowerPoint?
