Hi Bernie,

You might try powering down the Cube, then pressing the PMU (power
management unit) switch on its system board:

"CUDA Switch - where is it? What is it?"
   http://cubeowner.com/kbase/index.php?page=index_v2&id=39&c=31

It's rare that you'd encounter a condition where you might need to
press this switch, but recalcitrant sleep/wake problems certainly
seem like a good candidate for trying this, at any rate.

P.S. Many (most? all?) recent Macintosh models have this switch.
Pressing it - or even physically getting to it, in some models - can
sometimes mess things up, so use caution and have a technician (WHSG
or otherwise) do this if you're unsure. By way of comparison, here's
a discussion of how to find this switch on a Power Mac G5:

   "Resetting G5 Motherboard when it won't boot-up"
