   In mid-December 2003, Symantec Corporation released a version 9.0.1
update to Norton AntiVirus 9.0, the campus-licensed anti-virus
software for Mac OS X.

This 9.0.1 update provides compatibility with Mac OS X 10.3
("Panther"), resolving two serious issues which are described on the
Macintosh "Known Issues" page for the Connecting@Berkeley CD:

   http://cab.berkeley.edu/help/macissues.html

For a list of other issues addressed in this update, please see:

"What is new in Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.x after
   running LiveUpdate"
   http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/num.nsf/docid/2003121812310011

As long as you are regularly receiving scheduled updates to Norton
AntiVirus, you should have automatically received this version update
from 9.0 to 9.0.1.

As noted in a previous posting, Norton AntiVirus 9.0.x for Mac OS X
comes pre-configured to automatically check for updates on the first
day of every month. You can also manually check for updates at any
time by opening the Norton AntiVirus application, clicking the
"LiveUpdate" button, and then following the on-screen instructions.
In addition, you can set up or customize schedules for future
automatic updates by opening LiveUpdate, then clicking LiveUpdate's
"Norton Scheduler" button.
