Survey for next generation of campus maillists - please respond!

   The CalMail service requests your help in identifying important
features that should be included in the next generation of campus
mailing lists:

   Please take a moment to give us your input as soon as possible, but
no later than end of day on Friday, March 19, at:

   http://socrates.Berkeley.EDU:7309/public/mlms.html

   The checkboxes on the survey form are a starting place: there is
also space on the survey for you to list additional features you
believe are important, or to provide detailed comments about what
you'd like the CalMail team to take into consideration.

   If you currently manage one or more mailing lists on
Listlink/UCLink, or administer list server software on your
departmental email server, narrative feedback based on your personal
experiences would be especially valuable.

   The current plan, subject to change, is to replace Majordomo on the
old UCLink system with one or more new mailing list packages running
on the new CalMail system by late Spring or early Summer 2004.
Mailman, Majordomo, and/or the list management functionality built
into CommuniGate Pro are the packages currently under consideration.
