Hello--
My G5 was improperly shut down and now is frozen on boot-up (hangs on Waiting
for Application Services"). Holding down the option key while I boot brings
me the startup manager screen with the circle-arrow, straight arrow, and
picture of hard drive in between. Apple Support docs tell me that from this
point I can cmd-period to kick open the cd-rom drive, but I can't get that to
happen. It just doesn't open.
I'm on 10.2.x, Jaguar.
I'm really stuck! Is there something obvious that I'm missing?
