I've been looking at the market myself, although I did not consider the
Panasonic KX-FLM551 ($300).

The boss of that market segment seems to be Brother MFC-8500 ($374
street). 250-sheet drawer insead of the jam-prone vertical paper stack of
the older HP MFP's.
