Forgive me as I might be missing something that's right in front of
me, but I'm stumped for the moment.
I've upgraded several users to the new Eudora 5.2 version of OS 9.
Some have had their Eudora Folders in the System Folders and others
in the Document Folders. Every time I do this upgrade and then
launch it, it tells me "Would like to import settings from another
email program?" (or something close to that). No matter where I move
the Eudora Folder, into the System Folder or Document Folder, I still
get that message even after making sure that all other Eudora Folders
and settings are trashed. I've even made an alias of the Eudora
settings file and still when I double click on that, it asks that
question. It doesn't hinder the checking mail etc. everything
operates normally after you respond by saying "no" and when you get
the settings window (which has all of the right information -- it's
not blank or anything like that) and click OK to get rid of the
window. As an aside, I haven't had this problem with the OSX version
of Eudora.
I'm probably missing something, but does anyone have any idea how to
stop this annoying message? I've done this upgrade both for users
who were using Eudora version 4 and 5.1 and still have the same
problem. Is there a preferences file that I might be missing?
Thanks for any help!
Beth
