One possible source of assistance might be the following document
prepared by Michelle Bautista and her colleagues in DOCS:
"OS 9 Citrix client instructions"
http://docs.berkeley.edu/clients/citrix/macprint9.html
From what I understand from second-hand reports, following these
instructions to the letter -- such as creating a new Desktop Printer,
downloading the specified version of the Citrix client, trashing the
"ICA PrintSpooler" file and restarting, and all the other myriad
steps described in the document -- offers a fairly high probability
of resolving problems similar to the one you've described above.
Please let us know if this process does -- or does not -- work for
you.

P.S. The parent document, which also includes a link to a separate
document on setting up lpr printing using the Citrix client for Mac
OS X, is at <http://docs.berkeley.edu/clients/citrix/macprint.html>.
