Folks,
In the absence of available scribes, I'd like to record a meeting.
Preferably, I'd like to record it digitally, import it to MAC or PC (I
guess PC would be preferred), and convert it to text. I see that SONY
has a digital MEMORY STICK dictation device that they market with 171
minutes on an 8MB memory stick. I'm wondering if anyone has any
experience with that device, or similar. This particular machine is
marketed as a dictation device, so I'm wondering if it would work well
in a meeting environment. I can imagine it having a hard time converting
speech to text for different speakers in the same room. Really, though,
I can always transcribe it in the traditional way as long as the sound
quality is good. I don't want to deal with TAPE if I don't have to.
Any comments or experiences gratefully accepted.
Thanks.
Bond
