Gary,

Thanks for the tip.

I allocated 20,000 KB for TSM, and it now seems to be able to back up
my partitions (which have 10,000s of items!).

As you suggested, I used Process Viewer to monitor TruBlueEnvironme
-- you can click "More Info" near the bottom of the Process Viewer
screen to see how much resident memory the selected process is using
-- and noticed that as TSM scans the disk, the process's memory
footprint keeps growing until it hits some limit and quits. For
whatever it's worth.

Anyway, allocating lots of memory to TSM seems to help it out. It
kind of hobbles through the initial backup (hangs or quits several
times), but subsequent backups seem to go more smoothly. I think TSM
is mostly working for me now.
