Does your user have multiple partitions or hard drives?
I've seen this problem occur when an application (i.e. Eudora) is trying to
read/write information to/from several different partitions or hard drives.
The simple solution was to reorganize the Eudora folders, delete any
duplicate folders not in use, and make sure that everything is on the same
drive/partition.
