Paul,

 From what I know, 9.2.1 won't install on anything other than a
G3-primarily because the only reason (officially) it exists is for
better compatibility with OS X. Not being able to install it is
perfectly normal-7500/7600 machines won't take it either.

Your only bet really is to use 9.1 which should work fine.
