[MAGNet] Session with TRC representative

Technology Resource Center (TRC) is the new reseller for software
products covered by several UC-wide contracts. A representative of
TRC will be available to describe TRC's operations and to answer
questions on Monday, 11/5/01, at 3:00 pm in 60 Barrows (basement).

Please let me know if you have agenda topics that you would like TRC
to cover at this session.

Note: this session will not cover issues related to UC's transition
from its current Microsoft Select program to a new contract. This is
because Microsoft has now offered two different Select contracts that
UC representatives are evaluating. As if the Microsoft Select
transition issues were not complicated enough.... Anyway, at this
point, it is not certain that UC will sign a Select 6.0 contract as
previously expected. Once the choice of contract has been made, I
will be sending out information about what it means for campus
departments.
