I can confirm that SSH tunnelling using Interarchy 5.0.1 to the
socrates server results in the same error message. I have for some
time used it to other servers in various on and off campus scenarios,
which has been fine. As it may be a firewall issue with socrates, I
tried to toggle the passive mode setting, but I see now that the
checkbox for this may be broken following upgrading to X.1.
