This is an excellent suggestion that we will be sure to implement in the
next C@B release (by adding a button for the individual README files to
the installer-launch page where needed [some installers already do this
natively]). To be fair, the C@B 2002 overall README file itself *does*
quote from the NAVCE README file...but unfortunately regarding another
issue that came up during testing, and not about this issue.

from UC's site, but have been installing using the C@B 2002 CD, which
does not contain any information about needing to uninstall MacAfee
VirusScan before installing Norton AntiVirus - not in the pamphlet
that's included, and not in the form of any ReadMe's. In fact, it's only
AFTER installing any PC program that the ReadMe becomes available. (The
Mac ReadMe's, as always, are available before installation, which is
where they should be.)
Whoever it is that puts together these C@B CD's might want to make a
note of this over-sight, and make sure they include this vital
information in future versions in a place where it can be found prior to
installation, please?

I'm glad that it worked for you, but note that this is not recommended
by Symantec themselves, as per the README file with the product. We have
quoted that section of the README file on the download page:
