Your point is apt, and I think needs consideration. Perhaps
we should call this an implementation detail and not worry further
about text changes?

I think it's probably a bad idea to allow users to automatically change
their name without human interaction (as we saw with the user-accessible
chlogin command on the original uclink). Are you thinking of a web
interface which would just mail requests to UAS?
