The article looks good. I have a few suggestions for the bullet sections.
I vote for dropping the bullets about people being able to choose their own email address and auto-generation of email addresses because I think it adds complexity and potential confusion at this point.
Here's what I suggest for the bullet section:
At this stage there is not much that can be said with certainty, but there are a few topics on which we've come to agreement.
· This will be a service people can choose to take advantage of, it will not be compulsory or change your existing email account.
· Integration with the existing CalNet Directory is a requirement.
·The service must have a modest cost and be easily scalable.
There are a number of undecided issues, including:
·Coordination with the uclink/socrates and other existing address namespaces
·Interaction with the CalNet friendly name, and the @cal alumni community
