December 8, 2006 – LSCR is undergoing a strategic planning process, and I have asked the campus Chief Information Officer Shel Waggener to assist by providing an external review both of LSCR's operation, and of L&S computing in general. Over the next few months, Tom Holub and LSCR will be working with the CIO's office to examine our current environment and make plans to adapt to the changing technology landscape.
One of the first steps in this process is to survey the faculty and staff within L&S who use technology to accomplish their work. We'd like you to tell us what is working well and what needs improvement, and give us a better idea of your technology needs; we have developed a survey which should take no more than 10 minutes to fill out. Your answers will be confidential and anonymous, but if you provide us with an email address, you will be entered into a drawing for one of two iPod Shuffles, generously donated by Apple Computer.
