11/28/06). Our pricing for Macs has expired, but we now have good pricing
for the new Dell Optiplex 745 line, with a 20” wide aspect ratio

Lenovo Thinkpad
We do not have special pricing on ThinkPad laptops, but the campus has
an agreement with IBM/Lenovo which provides quite good pricing.
Laptop needs vary greatly; we generally recommend the ThinkPad T60
14.1” (Scholar's Workstation ID# 2008-G4U) as a good all-purpose
compromise, but some will prefer a smaller laptop such as the X60
series, or one of the larger and more exensive models in the T60 line.
We keep this program as simple as possible. It may not
be appropriate for everyone. In particular:
- There is no customization. We can't deal with individual
machine configurations with this order; if this base machine doesn't
suit you, feel free to order a customized configuration through The Scholar's Workstation's web
site.
- Installation services are not included. LSCR will handle
installations for LSCR-supported customers only. Users or departments who
are not LSCR customers will have to handle installation through their normal
computer support mechanisms. LSCR can provide additional installation
support on an hourly-billed basis.
