Using the Yosemite server

 

The "Yosemite" server provides filesharing services to LSCR customers using either Macs or PCs.

How to connect from a Mac

If you do not have a server alias on your desktop, you can connect in the following manner.

With the Finder active, click Go > Connect to Server, as shown below:

Then type the server address: yosemite.LS.Berkeley.EDU, as shown below:

Type in your username and password for the Yosemite server, click Connect.

You will then be asked to select a volume to mount. Select the name of your department and click OK.

How to connect from a PC

Your LSCR desktop support team can connect your Windows computer. Once connected, the Yosemite server should appear under My Computer, under the Network Drives heading, as shown below:
