Using the free Connecting@Berkeley CD is probably the easiest way to connect your PC or Macintosh computer to UC Berkeley Campus systems.

The C@B 2005 CD is available free to UC Berkeley students, faculty and staff (with a campus picture ID). It is available for Windows (with a blue cover) and Macintosh (with a white cover). See the Connecting@Berkeley website for system requirements, CD pickup locations, and other information.
Use the campus VPN services to provide secure authentication from outside of the UC campus system. VPN offers encyrption of data transmitted over the Internet. Using VPN provides authorized users to access UC campus systems by providing a static IP address and bypassing any port blocking at the campus border.
